- To use Brimogan Ophthalmic Sol 5ml, tilt your head back and look up. Gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket. Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze out a single drop into the pocket. Close your eye and gently press on the inner corner of your eye for 1 minute to help the drop spread. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye or any other surface.
- Brimogan Ophthalmic Sol 5ml is usually used once a day in the morning. However, your doctor may tell you to use it twice a day.
Brimogan Uses
Brimogan is a brand name for brimonidine tartrate, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist eye drop that is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It can also be used to treat pseudoexfoliative glaucoma, a type of glaucoma that is caused by a buildup of protein in the eye.
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, the part of the eye that sends messages to the brain about what you see. High pressure inside the eye is the main cause of glaucoma.
Brimogan works by reducing the production of aqueous humor, the fluid that fills the eye. This helps to lower the pressure inside the eye.
Brimogan Ophthalmic Sol 5ml may cause side effects, such as:
- Redness
- Burning
- Itching
- Blurred vision
- Eye pain
- Headache
- Dry eyes
If you experience any of these side effects, or any other side effects, talk to your doctor.
