Osso D Tab 3X10S can interact with certain other medications, so it is important to talk to your doctor about all of the medications you are taking before you start taking Osso D Tab 3X10S.
  • It is also important to avoid taking Osso D Tab 3X10S with high amounts of calcium from other sources, such as dairy products or calcium supplements. Too much calcium can cause serious side effects.

  • Osteoporosis: can help to prevent or slow the progression of osteoporosis by helping to build strong bones.
  • Rickets: can help to treat rickets, a condition in children that is caused by a lack of vitamin D and calcium.
  • Hypocalcemia: can help to treat hypocalcemia, a condition in which the blood calcium level is too low.
  • Hyperparathyroidism: can help to treat hyperparathyroidism, a condition in which the parathyroid glands produce too much parathyroid hormone.
  • Vitamin D deficiency: can help to treat vitamin D deficiency, a condition that can lead to a number of health problems, including osteoporosis.

The most common side effects are:

  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Heartburn
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Upset stomach
  • Headache
  • Fatigue

More serious side effects can occur, such as:

  • Kidney stones
  • Hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood)

  • Estrogens: Estrogens can increase the absorption of calcium from Osso D.
  • Heart medications: Heart medications such as digoxin can interact with Osso D and increase the risk of heart problems.
  • NSAIDs: NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and naproxen can increase the risk of kidney stones when taken with Osso D.
  • Tetracyclines: Tetracyclines can decrease the absorption of calcium from Osso D.
  • Warfarin: Warfarin is a blood thinner. Osso D can increase the risk of bleeding when taken with warfarin.
